- In March, SEOPCO hosted a candidate forum for all District 200 candidates. Close to 100 people attended. We introduced a new format where attendees could participate in round table discussions with the candidates following the more traditional debate time. It was well received by both candidates and attendees.
- In March, SEOPCO hosted a second candidate forum for the two presidential candidates for the Village of Oak Park and the trustees who were running uncontested. The forum provided an opportunity for question the two candidates as well as a chance to question village trustee candidates about issues concerning our neighborhood. We again offered attendees the opportunity to meet with candidates following the debate in smaller groups to ensure all questions could be asked.

- This Fall, in cooperation with local community member Michele Gurgas, SEOPCO promoted events focused on soliciting input regarding the Eisenhower Expansion. We worked with the Irving PTO to reach out to our community as well as other communities bordering the Eisenhower in Oak Park in an effort to ensure IDOT heard from a wide variety of citizens who will be impacted by the expansion as they move forward in the planning stage.
